Grant Development and Client Manager

Mary began nonprofit work in college at Emory & Henry College where she served as a Bonner Scholar, volunteering for several local nonprofits. After college, she worked in Zambia as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where she taught aquaculture and started a GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) Club at a local school to empower young women. When Mary returned to Chattanooga, she took a position working in conservation at the Tennessee Aquarium and gradually moved into a position in the development department. It was here that she discovered a passion for nonprofit work. Seeking a career where she could make a difference, she earned a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Before joining Skye Strategies, Mary worked as the Assistant Director of Development and Communications at Public Education Foundation, where she worked in grant writing, donor relations, and community outreach.
